Use these instructions for a Honeywell Xenon 1902 or Granit 1911i connected directly to a Windows computer by Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP). Check the scanner’s model label before starting; the Granit 1910i is a corded model.

  1. If the scanner is linked to a base, scan Unlink Scanner below.

Then scan the Non-Base BT Connection barcode below to configure Bluetooth Serail Port Profile (SPP) and make the scanner available for pairing.

  2. On the Windows computer, turn on Bluetooth and add the discoverable scanner as a Bluetooth device. Follow the pairing prompts for this scanner model.
  3. Confirm that Windows reports the scanner as paired. The required result is a working Bluetooth serial COM port.

  4. Find the option for ā€˜More Bluetooth Settings and click it to open the Bluetooth Settings popup.

  5. Select the ā€˜COM Ports’ tab and verify your scanner appears in the list of COM Ports.Ā  There will typically be two COM Ports for every scanner.Ā  One for ā€˜Outgoing’ and one for ā€˜Incoming’.Ā  Record the Port number for the Incoming connection.Ā  In the example below this would be ā€œCOM3ā€.

  6. Scan the below barcode to add the AIM ID symbology prefix.

  7. At this point your scanner should be paired to your device and can now be configured in the SMS application (example: Component Inspection).

In the ā€˜Configure Scanner’ dialog enter the following:
    1. Give the scanner a Name. For example, the scanner model followed by SPP to indicate it is a serial scanner ā€œXenon 1902 SPPā€
    2. Select Type as RS232
    3. Select the COM Port you recorded earlier as the Incoming Port (example: COM3)
    4. Select the Baud Rate (19200 is the default for most scanners)
    5. Select the DataBits, Parity, and StopBits (8,N,1 is the default for most scanners)
