  • Wheel Press Recorder version 6.6.4.22

    released November 21, 2023

    Bug Fixes

    • When a user logs in with a culture other than the machine’s default culture, the element display names and descriptions was not updated to reflect the culture change.
    • When remounting a single wheel, the wheelset would fail to save if the user was prompted to record the Back-to-back Pass/Fail and the wheelset already had one or more Notes (ex: from the previous Back-to-back prompt).
    • When trying to remount a single wheel, the wheel to be remounted was not showing up in the History/Search screen if it was demounted. This prevented the user from being able to select the Remount option for the demounted wheel.

    Updates

    • WPR was updated to support grouping of the Machine Inspection tiles.

  • Wheel Press Recorder version 6.6.4.18

    released November 1, 2023

    Bug Fixes

    • Calibration dialogs appear as blank after a previous update.
    • Data Validations, Business Rules, or Requirements that depend on one or more Inspection Elements were not updating correctly.
    • Calculated Output tool in the Options dialog was not sizing correctly for expressions that are more than a few lines long.
    • ExcessiveDropoff misfit detection was not being applied when enabled.
    • The Customer was not defaulting to the same value as the previous wheelset, even if it was configured to do so.
    • Reset Sequence Number on time of day, when the time was set to a value earlier than logon occurs, caused the sequence number to reset on login, and failed to reset again at the next time of day occurrence.
    • In some instances, WPR failed to record a chart for the second wheel if the force or distance was greater than the StartForce and StartDistance when wheel 2 was being initialized.
    • Element requirements that depended on the wheelset Customer failed to enforce the requirement unless the assembly configuration was changed.
    • When using the PressEnable interlock with the press controls, WPR was only checking for PressEnable at the beginning of the sequence, but not before each wheel.
    • Output tags were not getting written to the data acquisition device. If Outputs were configured, they should have been written during the Initialize step for each wheel.
    • OutOfTemplate misfit detection was creating false positives for some charts.
    • When editing a wheelset using the Legacy History screen, requirements, business rules, and validations were not being enforced.

    Updates

    • Language resources are now based on the Culture preference for the logged in user. If no culture is specified for the user, the machine settings will be used.
    • WPR now requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8
    • Elements can now have Alerts declared, similar to business rules. These Alerts can be configured as an Error (prevents saving data), a Warning (user must confirm before saving), or a Message.
    • When recording a chart, if there are less than 10 data points when the end of mount conditions are met, it will be considered a ‘false start’ and will reset to record a new chart when the start conditions are met again.
    • Added a diagnostic mode for OPC UA and OPC DA data acquisition interfaces to record all data points read from or written to the device. This feature must be enabled from the Data Acquisition settings in the Options dialog.

    Features

    • Calculated Outputs feature added to write values to a data acquisition device based on an expression or calculation.
    • DAQ Status popup was added to the menu bar for viewing tag values without having to go into the Options dialog.

  • Wheel Press Recorder version 6.6.3.17

    released August 29, 2022

    Bug Fixes

    • When running WPR in Unattended mode, the application does not always start up correctly.
    • WPR Chart settings do not get set to the default settings on new installations, preventing the user from being able to save their settings in the Machine Settings dialog.
    • When trying to synch an unsaved wheelset that has a Work Order assigned, the next Sequence Number is not getting calculated correctly and preventing the user from saving because of a duplicate sequence number.
    • When loading an axle or wheel to apply to the wheelset, if the subcomponent has a Customer assigned, the customer is getting cleared out when the wheelset is saved.
    • Queues were not working correctly and failed to add a wheelset to the specified queue after it was saved.
    • In some cases, returning from Downtime would cause the application to crash.
    • When using Work Orders, the application would lock the application and prevent saving an offline file if the database connection was unavailable at the time of saving. Users had to restart the application and manually synch the auto-saved file.

    Features

    • Automated systems can now select the axle class (and therefore the wheelset configuration) from their data acquisition device. You can also specify to collect other wheel and axle information from your data acquisition device.
    • Password Requirements – administrators can now specify password strength requirements like minimum number of characters, or required capital letters, numbers, or special characters. Users whose current password fails to meet the requirements will be required to change their password the next time they log in.

  • Wheel Press Recorder version 6.6.3.11

    released December 3, 2021

    Bug Fixes

    • After an ‘unsaved file’ was successfully saved to the database, it was not getting updated to indicate it was saved correctly before being removed from the Unsaved folder and moved into the Saved folder.
    • When creating a new assembly, Business Rules and Requirements were not updating if the rule depended on subcomponent elements or properties and those element or property values changed.
    • Wheel and Axle subcomponent CIDs were not being parsed from the barcode after a previous update forced the barcode data to UPPERCASE.

  • Wheel Press Recorder version 6.6.3.9

    released October 12, 2021

    Bug Fixes

    • History and Search screens were not able to scroll the list of results using the mouse wheel. This has been fixed.
    • Login dialog no longer displays above other application windows when Component Inspection is run in windowed mode.
    • WPR was failing to correctly detect DropoffAfterMinForce misfits becasue of a setting change in a previous update.
    • The blinking animation for the Unsynched Files button on the home screen had been broken in a previous update. The button would still appear when there were unsynched files, but the button would no longer flash red to catch the operators attention.
    • The Unsynched Files button in the menu bar was getting cut off on lower resolution displays so it was moved to the right side of the menu.

    Changes

    • Added a prompt after a user logs in if there are any unsynched files detected. The user is automatically redirected to the unsynched files screen so they can try to synch the files.
    • Chat feature now requires Use Chat permission to initiate a chat session with another user. Users can still receive chats from another user that has Use Chat permission, even if they do not have the Use Chat permission.

    New Features

    • Barcode Modifiers are now available to fix issues with barcodes that do not meet the AAR Component Tracking requirements or have other problems that need to be corrected before the data is processed.
    • Component Validations feature lets administrators configure conditional expressions similar to Business Rules that can prompt users if certain conditions are not met. See the Wheel Press Recorder user guide for more information.

  • Wheel Press Recorder version 6.6.3.7

    released September 15, 2021

    Changes

    • An option was added to automatically flag a wheel as a remount without notifying the user. The default setting still requires the user to confirm all remounts unless the application is running in unattended mode.

    New Features

    • Save With Errors feature was added to let a user bypass the validations for required fields, business rules, and data validation rules. See the user guide for more information.

  • Wheel Press Recorder 6.6.3.4

    released August 18, 2021

    Bug Fixes

    • Business Rules were not being applied in some cases, allowing users to save changes even if business rules were violated.
    • History screen was not showing the On Screen Keyboard when editing a component, even if it was enabled from the settings.
    • Update Service was not getting notified when the application closed or a user logged out causing Shop Manager to indicate a user was always logged in, even when they weren’t.

  • Wheel Press Recorder 6.6.3.2

    released August 10, 2021

    Bug Fixes

    • Charts would not record correctly for some data acquisition types (wago, OPC DA) because the distance value at the start of the mount was not getting recorded before the first point was drawn, causing the absolute distance to be recorded instead of the relative distance.

    Changes

    • WPR no longer changes the assembly configuration if an axle barcode is scanned that contains the same class as the currently selected configuration. Previously, if more than one configuration exists with the same axle class, the first configuration was always selected, overwriting the current selection.
