Export/Import Connection Settings Tool

Before we get started make sure that you have a thumb/flash drive to save the exported connection file.

Export Connection Settings

Open Shop Manager on a computer that already has Shop Manager installed. You will have 2 possible options to open the ‘Export’ tool.

Option 1 – Click the highlighted ‘Export’ icon.

Option 2 – Click the ‘Manage Servers’ button on the same screen if the ‘Export’ icon isn’t available. This will open the ‘Manage Servers’ screen. Click the ‘Export’ icon noted in the highlighted area below.

When you click the ‘Export’ icon a ‘Save File’ dialog will appear. Save the file with the default filename to your thumb/flash drive.

Once you’ve saved your file to the thumb/flash drive, insert the drive into an available USB port on the computer where you have freshly installed Shop Manager.

IMPORT CONNECTION SETTINGS

When you open Shop Manager for the first time you will see a dialog box like the one below. Click ‘Import’.

Now choose the configuration file you saved on your thumb/flash drive and click ‘Open’.

You should now see the Shop Manager login screen if you have completed all of the steps successfully. Enter your login credentials and press ‘Login’.
