Upon launching the Physical Inventory application, the user will be prompted to enter the API URL and Shop Code. The application uses a web API to communicate with the SMS database. The API will be hosted on a server computer either as a web application (using IIS) or as part of the “WSMS6 Service”. Depending on your hosting scenario, the API URL will be something like http://<server>:9540/api.

If the URL is correct and the application is able to communicate with the API the Shop Code should be automatically populated. If the URL is correct but the server is not available, you can manually enter the Shop Code.

Click Save to store your settings. You will automatically be directed to the Login page.
