Shop Manager version 6.6.4.55

Shop Manager version 6.6.4.55

released May 14, 2025

Bug Fixes

  • After a previous update, importing assemblies from another shop no longer worked.
  • On the inspections tab when viewing an assembly, the drop-down for performing a new inspection was only listing assembly inspections, not component inspections configured for that assembly type.
  • When viewing an assembly inspection performed on a sub-assembly, the parent assembly was being loaded instead of the sub-assembly that actually had the inspection performed on it.
  • When viewing a component inspection performed on an assembly, the assembly record was not getting loaded correctly.
  • When trying to remove a scrap reason from a component type setup in the options dialog, the scrap reason was not actually getting removed.
  • When trying to return an inspection element when searching for components or assemblies, the search columns were not always lining up correctly.
  • On login, a lot of database queries were being executed to load some of the settings. This caused slow startup performance for customers with remote databases or slow network connections. The startup sequence has been better optimized to reduce the number of queries required to load the settings.

Updates

  • Machine Inspections can now be viewed using the same ‘custom view’ that was used at the station. They can also be edited and saved to PDF, similar to assembly and component inspections.
  • AIC Gage endpoint and company information can now be edited from the Settings tab of the Options dialog.
  • When saving an inspection or list of inspections to PDF, users must now select a page size and orientation for the PDF. The inspection will get scaled horizontally and split into multiple pages vertically when it does not fit onto the page size and orientation selected. This should allow printing the pdf to a printer when the inspection is larger than a standard paper size.
  • The default styles for Wheelset assemblies was changed to use ‘Has Misfit’ and ‘Has Remount’ instead of ‘Had Misfit’ and ‘Had Remount’. The order was also updated so that styles based on Successfully Registered take priority over remounts and other styles.

Features

  • When viewing inspections or mount records for an assembly or component, you can now view the gages used. This feature requires an interface to the AIC Gage application. For more information about AIC Gage, please contact our sales team at Sales@aicrail.com.
